I mean I’m not a fan girl. This is baseball. Strictly professional. 

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t plan out conversations between me and a favorite player of mine. And I even made different conversations for every place you can ever imagine meeting a player…. Don’t Judge Me. 

You meet him before/after a game: “Good luck Mr _____” or “Good game Mr _____”

You meet him during lunch at a restaurant: *wave* *thumbs up* *smile* 

You meet him at a charity event: “Hi i’m a big fan of yours! It’s great that you’re doing this

You realize his hotel room is right next to yours: “Hi, I met you before/after the game, at lunch, at a charity event and now we’re roomies! Let’s be best friends!” (<– Of course i’m joking I would never say that LOL!)

Then I’ve come to the realization that I probably either A. won’t meet a player or B. would be too nervous to say anything *shrug* And more importantly I wouldn’t want to bother anyone unlike other people who constantly annoy them until they are forced to be a little pushy; making them seem like a bad person when they’re not. I would probably treat them normally and respectfully with understanding. I’m sure it’s hard dealing with people who constantly scream your name but I hope they realize that the fans really do admire them

The reason I bring this up? I decided to email Torii Hunter out of the blue thinking he’d never read nor reply to my message for everyone sends him messages (You know those “email me” message boxes on players’ websites? Yeah that one). So it turns out 2 months after I emailed him he emailed me back! 

At first i was very elated. Then my very dubious self started spitting questions. Is this really Torii Hunter? Does he really read all those emails sent to him? Is it his assistant just writing messages to his fans? Does he give the same message to every fan that emails him? Why am I doubting this instead of being happy? Then I decided to email him again because what the hey who replies a second time? Then 3 months later he replies to me again. Then I become a little crazy and decide to email him a 3rd time but this time asking a specific question. He emails me back 2 months later but he doesn’t answer the question. 

So as of right now I don’t know if it’s really him or not but I don’t want to make him sound like a bad person because he’s not! Definitely one of the most loved people in baseball. And I completely understand that he’s busy and it’s okay if he doesn’t have time to reply to everyone. (It’s too much for one person definitely too much!). He’s great to the fans and he means everything to us Angel fans. I mean I think he (and Bengie Molina) was the only one who actually kept continuing on with his blog in blog-o-sphere! He’s still going strong from last year! 

And hey it can turn out that I’m completely wrong and he is actually replying back with heartfelt thanks making ME look like the jerk LOL!

Either it’s him or not I don’t really care as much just a fun blog topic I suppose but he’s a fantastic player that the Angels are very lucky to have.
